Demons and Fallen Angels
(
Franz
)
One chapter in my book of dreams show versions of the old mythical themes around fallen angels or even demons. The old stories of dark and light bring endless possibilities for artists.
Mermaids by Seaklaus
(
seaklaus
)
The oceans of the world are my home. Instead of believing angels I believe in mermaids. As merchant seaman I photograph the worn paint on the sides of ships at sea. A ship's hull is like a great expressionist canvas on which mermaids portray both physical struggle and natural beauty. With my camera I capture their story told through the ship's paint. And so, with my work, I offer a new way to see abstract photography, and a new way to see abstract art created by mermaids.
Dragons
(
AntarDragon
)
Dragons, the best species in the whole multi-universe. Includes pen, pencil and digital artworks of dragons and nothing else.
3D Art
(
JolieBonnette
)
I am slowly exploring 3D tools and taking on this new style of art and creativity.
blond mermaid and cat
(
Zhenlian
)
I love the sea, the waves, the seashore and of course the fish, imagine that when a fish becomes half human and half fish, that is fantastique.
Monsters, creatures, and demons
(
Knightie
)
This is where I put things I wasn't sure where else to put them. Mostly mythical beasts, demons and the like.

Paintings. Simple enough.
Hell's Gate
(
ArnoldB
)
A whiff of sulphur taints the air as Arnold B looks ever downward. The infirnal regions may inspire the deepest fears but they also hold an abiding fascination for the active imagination. Be brave and follow Arnold B as he descends to the Beast's lair.
In Jeopardy
(
ArnoldB
)
Remember the old-time comics with their damsels in distress, well Arnold B does. He's been flicking through his old copies to get some ideas. Some things never change.
The Dryad Egle
(
silentlily
)
This image took me over 200 hours to work on.
I made it for a contest on DA.
The concept was based off a Lithuanian tale of Egle. A woman who marries the king of serpents has four children by him. Her family kills her husband leaving the sea red with blood when she calls for him. In anger she transforms her and children into trees.
I thought it would be fun to portray her as a dryad.

This was actually a piece of art I made with bark from a tree in our backyard long ago. The face was sculpted in clay and painted. I then took a photo of it and messed around with it in photoshop.
