The Dryad Egle

This image took me over 200 hours to work on. I made it for a contest on DA. The concept was based off a Lithuanian tale of Egle. A woman who marries the king of serpents has four children by him. Her family kills her husband leaving the sea red with blood when she calls for him. In anger she transforms her and children into trees. I thought it would be fun to portray her as a dryad. Medium: Pen and Ink for original drawing Photoshop and Painter for coloring

A Gift to the Fairy

The Queen mage Selena captured a flower into a glowing globe to give it the little fairy as a gift, for fairies are known to love flowers; and they have been taking great care of the Queen's garden.

Freya

The Norse goddess Freya is known for her beauty. She travels with her hawk wings coat. Her sacred animals are cats; here I have chosen caracal cats to symbolize Freya's animals. It also said that these two cats pull her chariot. The flowers signify her femininity and beauty.

Garden Fairy

You are invited to the enchanted Flower Garden where I meet with many of my Faerie friends for a cup of herbal tea. We all meet at twilight and drink our tea from tiny acorn cups. The Sprites love butter and sugar sandwiches cut up into tiny sprite size morsels, while the grumpy Gremlins and mushroom munching Fern Elves prefer peanut butter and jelly on toast. Dragonfly Sprites hum when they're happy and soon the gentle sounds of laughter and humming fill the air as the Magic Moon Flowers open and tiny, shy Flower Faeries wake from their daytime slumbers. Fireflies light the fairy garden and fairy music fills the air! Won't you join us? Done in photoshop.
