I appreciate all sorts of art, but in my own work I tend toward the surreal. My favorite medium is ink, but I also paint in watercolor and experiment with embroidery. My subject matter can be anything as long as I can make it look unique. My primary influences from early in life are: Frank Frazetta, Roger Dean, and H.R. Giger. Aside from art, another passion of mine is reading and learning; I love searching for, and buying, books for my little library and my Kindle. Mostly I read history and theology. I also enjoy hiking, canoeing, and fishing, and I play disc golf. I have a diploma in Engineering Drafting and a BA in Bible/theology. I have two great boys: Breck (21) and Jon (19). I live in the beautiful northern Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
