A SONG OF NIGHT EDITION: I was happy to work again for the great folks at Fantasy Flight Games. This time I was invited to create some cool locations for the collectible card game "A Game of Thrones", expansion set "A Song of Night". As I am one of the happy people to know George R.R. Martin personally I was excited to work for his great imaginative Westeros again. I really love this sort of Fantasy work - but now, enjoy....

My most impressive paintings are directly inspired by dreams. I have a sketchbook called "The Book of Dreams" where there are dozens of dreams captured in short illus and descriptions. I have already dreamt to take a look into the finished book and saw paintings yet to paint. Once in the future you´ll hold the complete "Book of Dreams" in your hand, but for now here you can see some examples from the chapter "Dark Visions". - enjoy -

Space Operas have always been my favourites in paintings. I love bizarre places in Space and huge constructions, inhabited by alien creatures. And I love to show them in exploding colors. See some examples in this Gallery Page:

Man tries to make machines such as Robots, Biomechs or Cyborgs, that act like man. There may be a time when the machine begins to think about their creator. This will be the time of the "Spirit of the Machine", as I call it.

Erotic and SciFi has always been a nice couple. Here are some of my versions of the theme - and by the way - SciFi IS Erotic for me.

Port Valhalla shows my first vision of the myths of the Vikings. It is the first of a collection of three works of art set in the myths of the North. From design phase to finish it took me about two years to finish this big Fantasy paintings, painted in acrylics on canvas in 70x100 cm. The second work titled "Gate Godafoss" (the fall of the Gods) and "Asgard Haven" (the seat of the Gods).

Robots always fascinated me. In my war of Steel Series I tried to show a dark future where the robots bring desaster.

Born and living at the gates to the Austrian Alps near Salzburg my visions have always been enriched by nature and myths. I like to climb on mountains and ride through dense forests. And I always held a pencil to sketch what I see; but my love is SF and Fantasy Art, and this since 1979 when my first painting appeared in a magazine. Since then I met countless wonderful members of this big community in conventions and shows and I just can say: I love this scene! My work has been showed on book covers, in magazines and on collecitible cards as well as on numerous shows. But I always have the one or another private piece in making. But now enjoy my visions....
