You are invited to the enchanted Flower Garden where I meet with many of my Faerie friends for a cup of herbal tea. We all meet at twilight and drink our tea from tiny acorn cups. The Sprites love butter and sugar sandwiches cut up into tiny sprite size morsels, while the grumpy Gremlins and mushroom munching Fern Elves prefer peanut butter and jelly on toast. Dragonfly Sprites hum when they're happy and soon the gentle sounds of laughter and humming fill the air as the Magic Moon Flowers open and tiny, shy Flower Faeries wake from their daytime slumbers. Fireflies light the fairy garden and fairy music fills the air! Won't you join us? Done in photoshop.

Welcome dear art friends. I was born in the USA where I still reside. I have been painting and sculpting for thirty years. My sculptures have been sold through Disneyland, DisneyWorld, Dillards, Dancing Dragon Magazine, And at many of the National Parks and major gift stores across the United States. While I loved sculpting and creating in clay, the business of mass production was another story. After three years in the wholesale business(sculpting, making molds, pouring the molds, painting the sculptures and Packing the sculptures, Some boxes weighing 75 LBs). I quit. You see I missed the creative side of me. I was lost in all the orders and bill collecting and shows, not to mention a sells rep that always took orders for more than I and the four people that worked for me could produce! Sounds like Rumplestiltsken! It was the hardest thing I'v ever done but I walked away and never looked back.... well maybe a couple times!
I returned to my first love. PAINTING! And I love what I do!!! My images, whether digital, watercolor or acrylics hopefully engage the viewer and invites them to explore mystical fantasy worlds where imagination and wonder still exist. I can't remember a time in my life when the magic of creating something beautiful didn't thrill me. I truly live in my paintings as I paint them. Finishing one is often bittersweet, like visiting with a dear friend and having to say goodbye. There is always tomorrow though! New paintings to paint and new dreams to explore. To see more of my work please join me, Barbara Brown at my website at www.barbarabrownart.com Thanks for stopping by and come again, I am always adding new pieces.
Hugs and best wishes to all the artists and art fans out there! Follow your dreams!!
