I am a self taught artist, I have been painting in the fantasy genre for 14 years. I paint in acrylics on anything I can get my hands on; canvas, bottles, rocks and wood. My subjects are mystical and whimsical while all are marvelously delightful to create. I do not necessarily choose them as often I find they choose me. I think one of the reasons for this is that the human psyche is so deep-rooted in mythology with its many dimensions. My art celebrates life and all mythological facets.

My inspiration comes from the intrinsic connect between nature and the repeatedly found innocence of humankind. Sometimes I think my viewers enjoy being pleasantly surprised, as they relate to these creatures. They are not distortions of nature, or natural beings, they represent real humans while still having the aura of fantasy surrounding them.
My inspirations have been Boris Vellejo, Julie Bell, Michael Whelen, Brian Froud..... and many others.
The possibilities with fantasy art are endless. For after all it is nature that inspires the imagination and that is the inspiration.
